Food on Wheels app provides capability to search food trucks currently serving near your location and display them on the map. Customers can order using mobile from the menu, and can communicate with the vendors using phone call. Its distance feature allows customers to find food trucks within the selected distance.
Food Vendors can add their cuisine type, menu, and menu prices. They can define breakfast, lunch, and dinner serving time of their business-hours when truck will be displayed on the map.

Challenges
- The biggest challenge we faced is the design client is very particular about the design and wanted to cover all the menu items whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner can be displayed altogether. In a tiny screen, it’s difficult to provide a menu feature with too many food items.
- Real time search feature to know where the truck foods are, so we developed distance feature that allows customers to find their favorite food trucks within the selected distance.
- Maintain a status update to the app via push notifications in real time, so customer knows when the order will be ready and in how much time they will need to pick the order up or reach to the food truck to get the delivery.
- Customized order with certain products is bit complex to set when there are addons and options available for the same product, but we have setup an inventory in such a way so that we get required item details in the mobile app when customer choose such product.
